The Los Angeles County Museum of Art held its eighth annual Art + Film gala in partnership with Gucci. Trustees Eva Chow and Leonardo DiCaprio hosted the star-studded affair, which honored artist Catherine Opie and director Guillermo del Toro.

More than 850 guests from the worlds of art, film, fashion and entertainment came together, such as director Sam Taylor Johnson, Crazy Rich Asians’ Henry Golding and producer Ryan Murphy. The crowd, many of them donning black-tie looks by Gucci, enjoyed cocktails in the plaza and a meal by Edoardo Baldi of e. baldi Ristorante and Joachim Splichal of Patina Restaurant Group. During dinner, Los Angeles poet laureate Robin Coste Lewis and filmmaker Sini Anderson gave tributes to Opie, followed by Jeffrey Katzenberg’s celebratory remarks about del Toro.

After dessert, partygoers including Ryan Coogler, Damien Chazelle, Gia Coppola, Dawn Hudson, Miranda Kerr and Evan Spiegel, Molly Sims and others took in a performance by Beck, who performed a few of his hits with help from special guests Dave Grohl and Greg Kurstin. The incredible night raised over $4.5 million to support LACMA’s ongoing efforts to incorporate more film into its programming.
